Commissioner meetings are held on the 2nd Monday, the 4th Tuesday, and the Thursday in between those two meetings in the Commissioner's chambers.
The new County Seal (left) was adopted on 11/13/06:

The goal of the new seal was to update the older seal while maintaining some similar elements in order to connect the new to the old while moving forward and introducing some new elements. The Snake River has remained as a dominant feature of the Jefferson landscape. The stalk of grain in front has become more realistic, multiplied, and moved to the side to make room for two grazing horses.
The horses represent both the livestock industry as well as a symbol of our strong residents. The older horse in front and the younger generation behind growing up to be the future of the county. The striped agricultural fields appear again above the river. The horizon line with trees has remained while some new silhouettes have appeared.
There is a cell tower representing new technology and connectivity even in our rural setting. A factory and productive farm is shown representing industry and growth, and a home and car represent our growth as a bedroom community. The sun still crests the mountain views which are found on both sides of Jefferson County and casts a warm and dramatic light over the county.
The name of the county reflects the signature of the great statesman for whom the county is named. In addition, three new words have been selected for the seal; "courage" referring to the many county residents who have served their county, "innovation" referring to the remarkable individuals and ideas that have flowed out of Jefferson County to change the world, and "heritage" referring to our strong past and early, determined settlers. Together the three words sum up the spirit and vision that has guided our county for over 90 years.
